Took some paintings up to the grandly named Grand Marché for Contemporary Art, then in Hamburg, looked at them for four or five days and took them home again. The woman sitting is another artist who did not sell. She brought her work from Finland along with furniture and a pretty professional interpreter. She sat like that the whole time. Unlike me, who shared a flat in Berlin with one of the event organisers, she paid the full price for her hanging space - an expense I could not possibly have afforded.
