A different style for each of the six floors in the back stairway of architect Gerhardt's wacky house in Kreuzberg. From Greek on the ground floor up to graffiti in the penthouse with fake posters, wallpaper, Bau-haus and trompe l'oeil inbetween. It all took much too long as usual, even with Freda's professional assistance. Gerhardt threw in some real elements; a couple of tin motoring signs (below), a plaster bust, and an obscure wooden electrical cabinet which might have housed an emergency telephone for elderly breakdowns half way to the top. |

Hi Paul, on your website you show a geometric painting of stairs - Peter just corrected me - it is a photo of an interior stairwell; I thought it was a painting - please advise - in case I am wrong - would you do that on canvas for me? (P L E A S E) - I think it is beautiful. L. |
