inalienable rights: The right to freedom from fear, pain and suffering - whether
in the name of science or sport, fashion or food, exhibition or service. The
right, if they are wild, to roam free, unharried by hunters, trappers or
slaughterers. If they are domestic, not to be abandoned in the city streets, by
a country road, or in a cruel and inhumane pound. And finally the right, at the
end, to a decent death - not (whether they are endangered or not) by a club, by
a trap, by harpoon, cruel poison or mass extermination chamber. We have only one
creed - to speak for those who can't. "
